Safety First

Alameda Metals strives to make your visit with us a safe and pleasant experience for everyone. The following are some of our safety policies that we would appreciate if you follow while recycling your materials:

  • Please obey the speed limit of 5 miles per hour while on the property. We have multiple vehicles, machinery, and people moving around in a relatively small area.

  • Please go slow and watch for backing vehicles and people. Please keep all children and pets in your vehicle.

  • No smoking anywhere on the property.

  • We do not accept enclosed tanks as they can be flammable. You must remove the valves completely. We must be able to see inside of the tank.

  • If you are unloading metals in the crane area, stay at least 20 feet away from the working crane. We know you are concerned about your vehicle and we know that

  • you like to watch the crane operators at work, but for your safety you must stay far back from the machine and material.

  • Please allow us to unload your vehicle. Objects are heavy and our employees are trained to unload properly and safely.

  • Do not drive up closely behind forklift or bobcats that are working. They may not see you behind them.

  • Please make sure your scrap auto has all of the fluids drained and the gas tank removed.

  • Please do not bring oily scrap onto the property.
